Jun 14 - Initial RH of 80% was witness by all of us on-site but not clocked by the datacorder as it logged once every hour. Anyway I estimated the time to be around 0700 (GMT). By between 0800-0900 (1-2 hrs later), it hit set point. We did not see the dessicant reducing the RH further and it maintains at around 59% for the next 24 hours.
Jun 15 - Initial RH is 80%, this time it's logged by the datacorder. It also took 2 hours to reach set point of 60% RH.
The desiccant bags all weigh about 10% heavier after a day.
From what we see from the short 1 day test, the product is able to reduce the RH quickly and demonstrate enough potential and we can trial further to use it on cargo that requires low RH but reefer unable to perform. We would need to make the environment more challenging such as to simulate a wetter atmosphere or run the test over a longer period (1-2 weeks) to see better results. |
