We establish the reliability of the desiccants through analysis and experiments to further understand condensation, sweating and moisture problem that can occur in containers. We can assure our customers that there will be no leakage from our bags and they can be used with almost any commodity. They are designed in different sizes to suit our customer’s needs.     How Xdry works?

    It has a one way tyvek material to absorb the surrounding moisture.

    The desiccants are designed in a hanger way to allow you to hang it in the wardrobe, metals , electronic goods.

     

    S Model

    - Available in 1kg and 2kg

    The desiccants are designed in a sac so that it will have a larger surface to take in the surrounding moisture as compared to H Model. The bag need to be put on top of the cargo (never on the floor), with the right side up(very important).

     

    S Model

    - Available in 10gms and 250gms

    The desiccants are designed in small packets so that it can be used with leather goods, shoe box etc. It can reduce the humidity inside the pallet or box.

    Test report for Xdry Desiccants
    (From APL Shipping Mr Lim done in Singapore Reefer container)

    Jun 14 - Initial RH of 80% was witness by all of us on-site but not clocked by the datacorder as it logged once every hour. Anyway I estimated the time to be around 0700 (GMT). By between 0800-0900 (1-2 hrs later), it hit set point.  We did not see the dessicant reducing the RH further and it maintains at around 59% for the next 24 hours.

    Jun 15 - Initial RH is 80%, this time it's logged by the datacorder. It also took 2 hours to reach set point of 60% RH.

    The desiccant bags all weigh about 10% heavier after a day.

    From what we see from the short 1 day test, the product is able to reduce the RH quickly and demonstrate enough potential and we can trial further to use it on cargo that requires low RH but reefer unable to perform. We would need to make the environment more challenging such as to simulate a wetter atmosphere or run the test over a longer period (1-2 weeks) to see better results.
